What is Vodcasting? (Video-on-Demand Casting)
Hello, my name is Jimmy Chia and I am going to tell you a little bit about vodcasting for my independent project. The topic is a big one and I will try to cover it in a way that is most relevant to teachers. I have linked and underline some technical words to the definitions page. So first, lets start by answering the question. "What is Vodcasting?" The term vodcasting is a derivation of “podcasting” and they are basically the same except that vodcasts more specifically refer to video-only-podcasting while podcasting includes both audio and video podcasts. So just like podcasting,vodcasters prepare a series of videos based on a particular topic which can then be distribute many different ways. Subscribers can then access these videos on a regular schedule determined by the vodcaster. I have created the diagram on the right to illustrate the process.
